My home has been inspected and found basically unlivable by the code enforcement authorities. The wall fell in on me and my child, wires are exposed, ceiling is falling, etc... well, at first the landlord made a verbal agreement with me, ten he changed it when he got the notice that the house was in such bad shape that he says me and the 4 babies and my sis have to leave. we aren't delequent except from the time the chimney fell in and he didn't fix it, i quit paying. i can't afford to move, please help me, i am so scared.

Unfortunately, in your situation, the only solution is to depart the premises. You will continue to incur a rent obligation for so long as you remain on the premises. You can rely on a defense of the rented premises being uninhabitable only after you actually move out. The landlord, as well as the code officials would have a right to evict you if you refuse to leave.
