Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Indiana

I had a thyroidectomy that resulted in my becoming disabled. I KNOW that the doc rushed thru my surgery but I have presented this to two lawfirms in depth, and several in general and cannot get anyone to sue. What in the world do I need to do to get someone to make this surgeon pay for what he did to me????

I am sorry to hear about your expereince. Please understand that medical malpractice cases in Indiana are among the most difficult, time consuming and expensive types of cases to bring.

The medical malpractice statute makes it very difficult for a victim to obtain compensation and representation. The statute in effect requires a victim to prove his or her case twice, once before a medical review panel composed of three doctors and again in front of a jury. Additionally there is a cap on how much compensation a victim can receive and a cap on how much an attorney can be paid.

I handle medical malpractice cases throughout Indiana and Illinois. You may feel free to contact me directly by email with a more thorough detail of exactly what the doctor did or did not do as a result of rushing through your surgery and why you feel that this caused you to become disabled. I will also want to know what you mean by presenting it to two lawfirms in depth and several in general and exactly what they said. Please do not presume that I will not be interested once I read your information. I have had some success in the past with cases that others have turned away.
