Legal Question in Military Law in Indiana

Adultery

I want to know what I can do if another soldier had an affair with my husband who is not part of the Armed forces. I am a Staff Sergeant and she is a Private. What type of punishment can I recommend or suggest. She knew that he was still married and continued to persue the relationship after I told her to leave him alone and now she claims that she is pregnant by him. Can she go to jail, can I ask for Bar to Reenlist, Article 15 can she even pay me a severence pay for pain and suffering? What are my options?

Re: Adultery

Your options are limited to reporting an offense to the proper authorities. You should report the offense to your chain of command and seek further reporting to her chain of command. Her command will decide what disciplinary action, if any, to take. Your concerns should be addressed, but you do not have the authority to direct any particular action against her. The effect this has had on your familly is the reason that adultery remains an offense in the military.
