Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
My 15-year old was injured during a cheerleading practice last June at her high school. They were not on matts and the coach with them was not safety certified at the time. When she fell on the gym floor and hit the back of her head, she blacked out. No one from the school called to let me know she was hurt. The coach knew I was out of town and my daughter was stating at home by herself until late that evening. They let her walk home even though she was disorientated and could not tell me what happened at practice other than the girl she was holding fell on her and she hit her head on the gym floor. I contacted the school principal the next morning and she told me to take my daughter to the doctor and school would cover the cost but when I filed with the school's insurance they denied the claim. My daughter still has neck and backpain. What can I do?

It has been a year and she still has pain. The first thing is get her to a docotr if she has not been receiving medical care. This gould be a life long issue if not addressed. The second thing that you need to do is to hire an attorney asap as all personal injury cases have a time limit on how long you have to pursue a claim.
