Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

A arrest warrant was issued in error for failure to appear in court. I was arrest and held for 2 days. When the courts opened Monday morning I was released & the court admitted error. To make matters worse I had physical proof that I appeared in court & the poilice officers arrested me anyways. Should I sue the courts & police department? What exactly would I be suing for?

"Should you?" That's your call. Do you have a cause of action for false arrest? Sounds like the answer is yes. Find an attorney in your community to discuss with you what the damages might be, and to review the case...typically you can find an attorney who will consult with you on this for free.

Good luck.
