Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
In August of 2012, I was driving a car that had been loaned to my friends by their uncle (I had their permission to drive it), and I ended up passing out behind the wheel, due to medical complications and I rear-ended an unlicensed and uninsured motorist. Now, the uncle is asking for $2000 from me for repairs, however, the bluebook listing for the car is $1300, and he has no official estimates for the actual repairs. I know his insurance company handled the claim, as I was denied medical coverage. I'm unsure as to whether or not uninsured motorists paid for the repairs or not. Should I pay him, or let the courts handle things?

You need to find out all of the missing information before you can make an intelligent decision on what to do. Contact the uninsured motorist and the uncle's insurance company to find out what occurred.
