Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

Is it common for a personal injury attorney to wait almost 2 years to file a lawsuit? My husband was involved in a pedestrian vs bus accident in 2010. Basically all the attorney we hired has done is make a demand for damages, which the insurance company turned down.

You have two years from date of accident to file. There isn't really any rush. Attorneys often wait for two years to try to settle the case rather than putting it into litigation. Each attorney has their own way of doing things.
