Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I had my family over for thanksgiving and while everyone was talking the kids were running and playing. The next thing I knew our lab who was bout a year had bitten my sisters son who is bout5-6. When asked what happened the kids said he called the dog into the garage and as the dog came running the little boy who had a mask on popped out in front of the dog growling. The dog then bit him. I took them to the E.R. and paid for the pain med. which he never used and the antibiotic, he got 3 stiches which has healed up real nice. I have beware of dog signs posted on my property. The dog has NEVER shown any aggression and I believe was just scared. He is fixed and around neighborhood kids all the time.She is insisting I pay her sons medical bills as well.Am I legally obliged to pay? The boy has been bitten by another dog on the face since then at someone elses home as well. Thanks.
