Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
Hotel Fire Drill; no warning
I suffer from post tramatic stress sindrome caused by being trapped in a burning apartment. The fire alarm sounded in the early morning and I had to jump for my life. It took a full year to heal physically and I have slowly improved emotionally over 5 years. On a stay at an Indiana hotel casino, fire drill without any warning sounded in early morning. The result of that alarm has been tatal devastation for me emotionally. It took 5 yrs of theropy to work through my trama, and only one night to totally destroy it. Is the hotel liable for my medical and loss of wages, loss of companionship?

The problem is one of forseeability. I would be reluctant to pursue the case because your reaction is not forseeable. Forseeability is an element of the law. Bill Stern
