Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
Is Indiana a contributory negligence state? This is regarding an accident my son (15 years old) had at school.

As far as claims against governmental entities (which public schools are) it is a contributory negligence state. In all other circumstances, Indiana is a comparative fault state. If the school he attends is a private school, then it would not be a contributory negligence situation but rather comparative fault.
