Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
We owned a car that we were in the process of selling to my daughters friend but we were waiting on a copy of the title to come in the mail. In the meantime, without our knowledge, our 20 year old daughter gave them the car to start repairs on but told him not to drive it yet. He in turn let his friend drive it one night and he was drunk and was in an accident and killed someone. Of course, he didn't have insurance and we did because we still legally owned the car. If we didn't know he was driving it, are we liable for this. Please help. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Your best bet is to let your insurer do a complete investigation and they will evaluate liability after obtaining all of the facts.
