Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana
I recently was raped when I was admitted to the Psychiatric Ward in a hospital. I was raped by two of the counselors there, because of something I said that angred them. I didn't say anything wrong, but they did not like what I said. This happened about a year ago and the two men have admitted that they did rape me. Other hospital workers and patients witnessed the rape. I want to sue the hospital that I was raped in, because this has cause many mental problems in my life in addition to the mental condition I was being treated for.
I would like to know if I contact a lawyer and start the process of suing the hospital I was in, how long would does it take for this type of case to go to trial? What may the judgement (award amount) be?

What happened to you is absolutel appalling! You definately should hire counsel. I have handled similar cases, one involving a mental health professional, another, a minister and I am more than willing to help you.
However, without knowing what county this occurred in, it is impossible to give you any gauge on the time frame. Additionally, I have a number of questions to ask you that may enable me to answer your questions concerning the value of your case. However, due to the nature of your claim the questions are rather personal and probably not appropriate for a public forum such as Law Guru. Please call me at my toll free number so that we can discuss your case free of charge..
Respectfully,
