Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Back Taxes Obligation after Closing

I recently sold an investment property I had and when I received the closing docs I asked that the back taxes be taken out of my check and paid directly to the county. They reassured me it would be paid without regard to the amt I would receive because our ''Net To Seller'' agreement set the net amount I would receive. We closed. A month after our closing, the title company has contacted me to pay the back taxes on the property. Do I have a legal obligation to pay the taxes, or should this be the responsibility of the Title company who did not do their due diligence even after being told about the situation?
