Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

My bankruptcy was filed in 2008. My mortgage was included. The house never went to sheriff sale. The house has been vandalized and is non livable now. The bank is releasing the lien after 5 years. I have been told I would now be responsible for property taxes, or trying to sell this house. If I do nothing and let it sit will it go to property tax sale, and is there any financial reprocussion on me?
