Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I bought a car at the end of august went and applied for a new title in the state I'm from (Indiana) I also bought the car in Indiana and was giving a Indiana title from the previous owner about 2weeks after receiving my title a repossession company From michigan came and took the car while I was not home there reason for taking the car is they are saying 2 owners before me still had a unpaid lien on the car what are my legal options

Your claim is against the person from whom you purchased the car.
