Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

We built our home in 1984 and have purchased land as well. we have 9+ acres with a pond as well. We are ready to retire and move out of state so we need to sell our home. About 5 years ago the neighbor ( 27 at the time) had sex with a 13 yr old girl and was put on the registered sex offender list. He is still living next door with his parents and no one wants to buy a house with a sex offender living next door. We worked hard to get to this point in our life and now thru no fault of our own we can't sell our house and retire. They have lived next door for about 12 yrs.
