Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
My college apartment leasing company has recently summoned me to appear in court due to repair fees and such that I refused to pay. However, when they sent me the bill with the work orders of what I owed, addressed it to my roommate at this apartment and not to me. I've heard that this mistake legally makes this debt uncollectable. Is there any truth to this?

I can not tell from this posting whether they sent the bill to the address you gave them when you left. If they did, then you can still be liable.
