co-signer

I co-signed for a friend to purchase a car. Is there anyway I can have my name removed fromthis contract?

The only way to remove your name from a co-signed loan is for your friend to refinance the car in his own name. Or you could file bankruptcy - not a good option if you can avoid it. Or the loan company could agree to let you off the loan - a highly unlikely event, but you could always ask.
