What do I need to do to get my name on deceased mothers deed?

Open an estate and present the will for probate that says the house is to go to you.

You cannot just place your name on a decedent's deed. Depending on the circumstances, you may need to open an estate or alternatively to file a survivor's affidavit. You would be best advised to consult with a probate attorney and have him/her do the necessary paperwork for you.
