Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I have been divorced for 5 years. In the settlement, my ex kept the house because I could not afford it on my own. He never refinanced it to get my name off the loan, and it is now in forclosure. I have received notice of a sheriff sale. I'm wondering if I have to file bankrupcy on this home? The home is in Indiana, and we filed for divorce in Indiana. I am now living in Illinois.

If the house pays off the joint debt when sold, then there will be nothing else for you to pay. You need to talk to your Indiana attorney and discuss the actual values, etc. to be fully protected.
