how do i stop from being evicted until i have the money to pay the rent

If there is a lawsuit for eviction, you could hire an attorney to request a continuance. Or if you cannot afford the attorney (which I assume is the case since you are behind in the rent and would rather use your money for the rent) you could ask for a continuance. If you know what the source of your funds will be, perhaps the source could call your landlord or send a letter stating when the funds will be available or agreeing to send the money directly to the landlord. You really do not have a lot of options at this point.
