Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
My ex-gay partner and I purchased a house together about 9 years ago. The morgage was put into his name. Later we had a attorney to make a contract for us, that was signed & notorized by us. That stated we both shared full down payment & equally shared in the up keep, up grades on the property & shared all other expenses. Now my ex partner wants me to move out. He has a new partner, my ex says he owes me nothing. Is the notorized contract we have, valid & do I have any recourse of staying & living in our home, or am I intitled to making a agreement for him to pay me my interest in the purchase of the property? I feel I've made the same investment cost as he..

You may be able to claim an equitable trust. I suggest that you contact an attorney locally.
Good luck.
