Can I, as an ex-wife, obtain POA or guardianship over my ex-husband's estate?

P.O.A. or guardianship is only applicable while someone is living. You would want to obtain letters of administration to administer your ex's estate. If no will designates someone else to be the executor and if the court finds that you are an appropriate person to serve, you can do so. Other family members, if any, might have an equal right to the position. In any case, you would need to do this through and with an attorney.
