Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

my father is selling his place which he lives behind me, we share a road that goes in front of my pasture and my home to the main road. I have lived in my home and pasture for over 12 years and never really knew we had a 50 foot off the lane to his house. This takes up my front yard and the field. Can I do a adverse possession claim for only the strip I have been using for my yard and pasture? we live in indiana

Without all of the information on who paid the taxes and who knew what rights each other had, it's difficult to say. But it's a possibility. You would need to go through a lawyer to handle this properly.
