Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

My home was foreclosed on and I was served notice of the balance due. Can I file bankruptcy. i am not working, single mother and in school. The debt is 67k.

you can but mayu not need to. if the house is the only debt issue, first try working with the bank/mortgage holder. most are fairly receptive to trying to work out a solution rather than a forclosure. if that fails you can always contact a bk lawyer. good luck.
