Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

House Building Contract

My family has been trying to get a home built for a year now. But due to our lack of credit, we are unable to close. The builder decided to sell the house and put our lot money on another location alon with signing a new contract. We decided that due to our credit, we decided to build at a later date but the builder said if we do that, we will be sued (10,0000) for the house they eventually sold.

Can they do that???

Re: House Building Contract

You need to have an attorney review your contract with the builder. You should be bale to get an opinion for about $250 froim most attorneys. Your question can not be answered without a review of the contract.
