In Indiana (Indianapolis,When a home is repossessed by a bank, are they responsible for the HOA payments. Can we take them to small claims court and then record the judgement. Will this put a mechanics lien on the property?

Not necessarily. You can take a judgment, but the HOA judgment is payable only after the bank's debt has been satisfied.
