Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

One of the joint owners wants out

We've been divorced for about 4 years and only now I've found out that even though we've agreed that the house would be hers my name is still on the deed.I guess the paperwork was never filed properly or at all by the lawyer. The house was already paid in full by the time of divorce and now she's about to lose it for back taxes and all I want is to have my name out of it. Can I still do it?

Re: One of the joint owners wants out

Your name can be off the property by execution of a quit claim deed to your ex and having the same recorded in the county recorder's office or by having a certified copy of the divorce decree (which includes the legal description of the property) recorded.
