I am assuiming that your question is who is responsible for taxes accruing before you bought the house but billed after.
This is why it pays to have an attorney when you close on a home as customarily you are not responsible for taxes accruing before your possession and an attorney at closing would have caught that. An attorney would have to see the entire agreement and know who drafted the agreement to tell you whether your aes stuck.
