Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
I live in a nice 2 story and i have a very big dog. We have a fence surrounding our back yar and people openour fence and cut through alot. If my dog saw some one he doing this he would attack them. I was told if he did so he would have to be put down. Is this true?

Not automatically, but you should lock the fence to prevent this. Even if they can't sue you, do you really want to see a child mauled by your dog in your backyard while using a "shortcut"?
Not necessarily. HOWEVER, if you know that people are inappropriately trespassing through your yard and you know that your dog would attack, and you take no preventative measures, you could be liable for negligence. You should post a dog warning sign and find a way to secure your fence so that it cannot be opened by anyone but yourself, even if that takes affixing a lock or other device.
