Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I have been maintaining, (cutting the grass and general clean up) of an empty unapproved easement, (which is supposed to be a street,) for the past 35 or so years, Now the town says I cant park my vehical there (which I have been doing for the last 5 or 6 years) My question is can I leagly claim that property. ???? Or can I submit a bill to the town for my time and cost of maintaining this property for them????

No, you can not have adverse possession in this circumstance.

Or can I submit a bill to the town for my time and cost of maintaining this property for them????

No, you volunteered for this. You can raise a stink if the town doesn't take care of it in some fashion. You can aslo contact an attorney about having the street abandoned, which would give you at least partial ownership of the property, assuming you are an adjoining landowner, not a renter.
