Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
mechanics liens
This is a follow up on my question onthe pressure cooker accident . My wife took possession of the home in may or june when my mother-in-law transferred it to her It was set up for my mother-in-law to have a life estate.when she died my brother-inlaw was to have a life estate because he is slightly retarted. The work was performed July30 2008 thru aug 2 2008. We asked the foreman on the site several times how much the work was going to cost and he told us several times that it would be 10,000 to 11,000. If the lien is enforceable can the property be sold at auction?

Re: mechanics liens
If they win a foreclosure action, the property could be sold at auction.
