Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

My mom's dogs attacked our neighbor's dog. The vet bill was $1,450. We have agreed to pay $350 a month since my mom is 87 and on a limited income. They also want us to pay the interest on the credit card they used to pay the vet bill. Should we have to pay the interest too?

There is no judgment so legally you

do not have to pay anything. That being said how much can

that interest amount to? $20 or so? Is it worth fighting over?

If you do not pay it, the chances are that

she will not be sued.
