Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Hi, I am an owner of a rental property. I leased my house to a man who gave me as his first name his middle name. A week after he moved in I started really looking into him and found his real first name. Which in another state in 2008 he was convicted of 6 counts of theft and fraud and sentenced to 3 years in prison.

My question is; is my lease valid since it is leased to someone without his correct first name? His signature is completely illegible and the one place on the lease where his name is, is in my hand writing, besides his illegible signature. Nowhere on the lease is his real name.

The lease would appear to be valid. If the man has paid his debt to society, why do you think that he won't be a good tenant?
