If you have two properties one with a mortgage and another without and the mortgaged one is foreclosed, is there any liability against the unmortgaged property?

Re: Property Foreclosure Question

If the entity foreclosing gets less on the sale than what is owed, they may seek a judgment for the difference and that will be a lien on the other property.

Re: Property Foreclosure Question

I agree with Mr. Padove's statement, however. Under those circumstances, the land (as an asset of yours) could be the subject of a judgment lien -- even though the original mortgage on the other parcel would have no application.
