Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

property lines

i have live in my house 10 years. my neighbor resently sold a tract of land next to me. He talked to my daughter and said i was mowing 40 ft over into his property. i'm mowing to where i always do. they looked for surveyors markers, they are about 40 ft toward me. Almost up to my garage. the person that owned it before never said anything. and I saw him almost every week. I have even planted trees and have a wood pile on what he says is his land. is ther anyway i can fight this? It is a lot of land to lose that i have taken care of for the last 10 years

Re: property lines

You need to consult a local attorney in your county to institute a suit for adverse possession to this property. Such a proceeding if successful clears title so that neither the prior owner nor a new owner can claim the property.
