get out of a purchase agreement of a new home

My friend has just signed a purchase agreement to buy a home. She was talked into this home and told she could afford it but now thinks that she can't. she just signed the papers yesterday and put $1000.00 check down, but it is being held until Friday. Please let me know if she can still get out of this house.

Re: get out of a purchase agreement of a new home

Lawyers are not able to advise you very well without being able to see the purchase agreement. Why is your friend's check being held until Friday? If the purchase agreement conditions attached, then just make sure some condition - like financing or satisfaction with inspection - is not met and demand to be relieved of the contract. You should have a real lawyer look over the paper work.
