Quick Claim Deed
My husband and his sister (who lives in Indiana) own property in Michigan - and sister is going to quick claim deed to my husband - is it okay if she signs and has it notarized in Indiana?

Yes, but a recent ruling by the courts requires that a document that may be introduced in a court of law not only be notarized, but that the notary's notarization be certified by the clerk in the county in which the notary received his/her notary.
