Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
Real Estate Sales Contract Validity
In 2000, my elderly mother's initials were forged on the original agreement to purchase her house, and her signature was forged on a form for a change to that original purchase agreement, so my question is was there ever a sale? The forgery of her signature was done either by someone at the local board of realtors, on the listing agent's behalf, or by the listing agent who never consulted with my mom prior thereto, whose initials are actually under the forgery of my mom's signature, but the form was supplied by the local board of realtors. Since this ''sale'' of our home, the intended buyer ''sold'' it to another party who went foreclosure, sheriff's sale (for taxes), and when I made a claim in court to get the judge to look at the two different forgeries, I was told I had no standing; then why was the original contract to purchase binding on my mom's heirs, assignees, etc., when all of us children were in the will to get the house? There's something real shady about this so-called ''sale,'' and I intend to find out what, and get back the property and get compensation. Is this criminal conversion?
