Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I am a realtor in Indiana. I recently received a "referral" from my companies relocation department. Nice. I have a signed offer for a home with the person named in the referral dated a week before this "referral". My companies relocation department seems to think that I can not refuse to accept this referral and will have to pay the relocation company 37 1/2 % of my commission??? I have emailed them a rejection of the referral, but am worried that I may get to closing only to hand over the commission check.
