Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I was recently sued by my homeowners association, their lawyer was supposed to notify me when court was but didn't. Since I didn't know when court was I didn't go and they found against me. I received nothing from the court regarding the hearing. Can I appeal the decision and can I make a complaint to the Bar Association against the lawyer. Can I sue the lawyer for failing to notify me?

You need to have an attorney check the record for you to see what notice was given, if any. Just because you didn't receive it, doesn't necessarily mean that the rules were not complied with. There is a certain time period in which something can be challenged or appealed or reheard if proper notice wasn't given, so don't delay in consulting with an attorney.
