Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

had rented an apartment in evansville @ 1152 hatfield dr. in nov 2010,had sister in ga who died of sudden heart attack on 12/31/2010.moved to help brother in law. apt lease states in breaking lease, there is a 100 dollar fee plus damages AND all rent due until apt is re-leased.how can i, being on a fixed income, pay 385 dollars a month on a place i am not living in,because this money is needed elsewhere?

Legally, you are obligated to pay. If you don't have the money, you may be sued and the landlord will try to get the money through garnishment or attachment of assets. He can't throw you in jail for not paying.
