renter rights

may a landlord enter your rental unit without permission by the renter? and can a landlord change the terms of a lease,such as first say you may have a dog then change his mind after two months and say you have to get rid of it.

If you have a written lease there can be no changes to the lease unless both the landlord and tenant agree. Most written leases allow the landlord the right to enter the property. If you do not have a written lease, you are pretty much at the landlord's mercy.
