Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

We signed a contract to sell our house on contract the house was in my mother-in-laws name and at the the time my husband was her power of atterory and in December she passed away and now it is in my father-in-laws name do we need to have a new contract wrote up or is that one still legal.

Show the power of attorney, the contract, and the deed to the house to an attorney in yor community in order to answer this question. Lawyers can not say what is "legal" in a document without seeing the document.
