Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I am currently in a situation in which I have co purchased a house with my now ex-boyfriend of nine years, who has decided to end the relationship to begin another. We are not in a financial situation in which either of us can buy each other out, and if we sell the house we will have to pay the 8000 we received for the homebuyer credit. I need to know what rights I have regarding who he is able to bring into our home and how I can protect myself legally.

Each of you has full authority to being anyone onto property that you co-own. You need to file a partition action to force sale of the property, and you can ask the court to enter some orders as to possession of the house and responsibility for expenses in the interim. If the homeowners credit problem is too important for that, than you should move out until that problem passes.
