My Son Died 3 month ago , his home was foreclosed, the company sent a check in his name for 600.00 dollars. I am told I need to set up an estate in order to cashed the check. I am his mom. is the check worth the attorney fee.

You can use an affidavit for that, no estate needed. Call an attorney in your community, explain the situation, and ask how much they charge for such an affidavit.
