Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

statue of limitations

I purchased a house, some of the repairs weren't completed before purchase. How long do I have to file suit against seller?

Re: statue of limitations

Your purchase agreement merged into your deed except to the extent that the agreement contemplated that work would be done later. Our position is that this is a contract and that you have at least 6 years to sue. You might actually have 10 years under other statutes. But it is more likely something you want to get taken care of promptly - especially if you are waiting on the other guy to do the repairs, rather than doing them yourself and suing him for the money back.
