Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
tenant's rights
I have two questions. I am the tenant. I signed a two year lease and the landlord is selling the property. There is six months left on my lease. What rights do I have if he sells it to someone who wants to live in the house before my lease is up?
Also, the house has well water and it is very bad water. I haven't had it tested and don't really know who to call to have it tested. However, I know it is going to come back terrible...the landlord said I should take care of it myself and get a water softener. In addition, there is mold and many of my things have been ruined. I don't see mold on the walls but many of my belongings. What recourse do I have to get him to fix the mold issues?

Re: tenant's rights
Depending on what the lease says, which is the most important thing, you will have the right to stay in the property even after it is sold through the end of the lease term.
There is an unwritten covenant of quiet enjoyment that goes along with any residential lease. If your property is "unliveable" because of the damage, you may have a claim.
