Legal Question in Traffic Law in Indiana
How can we collect on a person who hit our car and has no insurance?
Our car was hit by another person who does not have insurance. We have to pay the $500 deductable and our insurance company pays the rest. How do we get our money from the person who does not have insurance? Also the person is still driving without insurance and it was his third time he was caught when he hit our car without insurance. How do we get him off of the road so that he does no seriously injure someone?

If the only issue os the Property damage deductible, then file a small claims suit to recover. Also, go to the prosecutors office and file a misdemeanor complaint against that person. Take the police report and your insurance report indicating lack of coverage. You may also be able to get the $500 as restitution in the criminal matter. Good luck.
