For a driving a vehicle while your license was suspended(dws) has two paths. If this is your first DWS, then you will be given a fine, and have your license suspended an additonal period (I think 90 days). If it is your second offense then it is a class A misdemeanor with up to a year in jail and a fine up to $5000. This also suspends your license for 90 days. The DWS also starts adding up to whether you will become a habitual traffic offender, which is a felony and has addtional license suspensions and penalties.
